St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands: Longevity is rare in the music business. In the Caribbean, it is common for a group to go through various incarnations through the years, with as many as 30 people passing through its roster. The core membership (hopefully) maintains the original spirit and fire. This is the 20+ - year story of the Inner Visions Band out of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. In the beginning, as the lore goes, there was... "Prophecy". Of its members, only two remained to press forth as Inner Visions: Phillip "Grasshopper" Pickering and "Ras" Paul Samms. Joined by the younger brother of Grasshopper (Alvin "Jupiter" Pickering), the trio snagged a prominent spot in the 2002 (12th Annual) Bob Marley Rastaman Vibration Festival Tour.

In the past, Inner Visions has spread their special brand of vibe throughout the Caribbean and the U.S. - their 1990 tour of Atlanta, Georgia culminated in their participation in the New Year's Eve celebration at the reknowned "Atlanta Underground"; that same year, they shared the stage with Yellow Man (Puerto Rico); in 1995, they opened for Nazio Fontaine and Culture (St. Thomas). In '96, they participated in the St. Thomas Mega Youth Festival alongside Monica, Worl-a-Girls and J'son. More engagements followed, from Cancun to St. Lucia. The band's latest LP release, Spiritual Dancer, is currently available for sale online through CaribbeanMusic.com and Amazon.com. Two other releases, 1995's Love One Another and 2000's Shala-la Tonight are also available, along with reviews for the uninitiated. Coming soon: Inner Visions fans will be able to own authentic gear in addition to music.

While in the Virgin Islands, the Inner Visions Band is available via Naomi Baylarian of Moko Jumbi 'n' Fren Dem Entertainment Management. In the continental United States, the band is represented by Patty Watts of Radiant Enterprises.
