Out da Box? More like out of the gate, off the chain, and on the way to a new adventure. Such is the case for Virgin Islander Aquannette Chinnery and her recent Gospel music debut "Who Is Like Unto You?".

Co-producers Loris Holland and Mel Holder are both luminaries in the Gospel music field. Keyboardist and arranger Holland's works include production support for a diverse roster, from Deneice Williams to Carlos Santana to Mary J. Blige. Saxman and producer Holder has provided his talents to Sister Carol, Vickie Winans, and Larry and Marrissa Felder. The latter two also provide background vocals on one compostion, "So Good To Me". Writing duties for most of the tunes were shared by Chinnery and Holland.

Aquannette's musical life began when she was a youngster who took it upon herself to earn enough cash to obtain a piano. She then sat down and taught herself to play it. She continued her foray into the performing arts as a dancer and as a member of her college chorus. She graduated from college at 18, when most her age were graduating from high school! In fact, Aquannette was the youngest College of the Virgin Islands (now University of the Virgin Islands) graduate ever, obtaining her BA in Chemistry.

Later, Chinnery earned an M.S. in Biochemistry (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), became a television newscaster, painter, model, radio disc jockey, and attorney (she received her J.D. degree with High Honors from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark).

The mother of two is currently a member of the Wesley Methodist Church, the Tidalwave Gospel Band, and is a study in multitasking. Visit her online at www.Aquannette.com. To hear samples of her album, visit her CD Baby website. You will find her first outing to be an impressive collection featuring a variety of traditional and progressive Caribbean Gospel sounds!
